Shin's Tricycle
It was the morning of August 6, 1945. 4-year old Shin was
outside his house riding his tricycle when the bomb dropped.
He was badly burnt and was pinned under a beam of his house.
His parents found him gripping the handlebars of his tricycle.
After a day of suffering, Shin died.
His parents decided to bury him with his tricycle. Years later,
Shin's tricycle was dug up and is now on display in the Hiroshima
Peace Museum.

Visitors to Disney parks up 3.3%
Kyodo News
The number of visitors to Tokyo Disney Resort's two theme parks,
Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea, rose 3.3 percent to 12.04
million in the April-September period compared with a year earlier,
the first rise in three years, Oriental Land Co. said Monday.
The number was the second-highest for a fiscal first half, the parks'
operator said.
Oriental Land attributed the increase to a popular parade of Disney
characters that began this spring at Disneyland and a series of events
commemorating the fifth anniversary of the opening of DisneySea. |
