Two students drug teacher's lunch

UTSUNOMIYA, Tochigi Pref. (Kyodo) Two junior 
high school girls in Tochigi Prefecture put an 
antidepressant agent into a 39-year-old teacher's 
lunch, forcing him to go to a hospital after suffering 
dizziness, the prefectural education board said 
Tuesday.

"We thought the teacher nagged only us. We wanted 
him to be kinder (with the agent's effect)," the two 
students were quoted as saying. The two girls obtained 
five tablets of the agent from a female classmate who 
bought it via the Internet to help cure insomnia. 

They mashed up three of them, and put the powder 
into the teacher's miso soup on April 18, the board 
said.
